WatchTower

About

Built by 1 trader, for the read he could not buy.

WatchTower is not a data company with a trading product. It is a trader with a data problem, solved properly and then opened up. That shapes most of what follows.

Why it exists

The information gap is real, and it is not about intelligence.

A desk at a bank opens the morning with the overnight research from every house that covers their markets, the positioning prints, the priced rate path and a view on what the data did to the story. A private trader opens a chart.

That gap is not skill and it is not effort. It is access. Most of that material is either expensive, sold only to institutions, or scattered across enough places that assembling it takes longer than the trading day allows.

I spent a long time assembling a worse version of it by hand every morning. WatchTower is what happened when I stopped doing that and built the thing properly instead. I use it every day, which is the only reason I trust it enough to sell it.

How I run it

6 things that will not change.

These are commitments rather than features. If any of them ever stops being true, the product has become something else.

  1. 01

    The method is published

The scoring weights, the contrarian formula and the bias bands are printed on a public page. A score you cannot audit is a score you should not size a position on, and that applies to mine as much as anyone else's.

  2. 02

    No signals, ever

It will never give you an entry, a stop or a position size. The moment a tool does that it stops being research and starts being someone else’s trade, and you learn nothing.

  3. 03

    Free stays a real product

The free tier is 12 complete boards with no card and no expiry. Not a countdown, not a crippled demo. If it never earns your money, it costs you nothing.

  4. 04

    Subscriptions only

No advertising, no paid placement, no broker paying for a mention. The only thing that funds this is people finding it useful enough to pay for, which is the only incentive that keeps the data honest.

  5. 05

    Nothing is hidden behind vagueness

Where a number is uncertain, the page says so. Where a feature is Pro, the comparison table says so plainly rather than burying it.

  6. 06

    It gets fixed in public

I trade with this. When something is wrong I find out the same way you do, usually faster, and it gets fixed rather than explained away.

The channel

You can watch me use it before you pay for it.

I publish macro breakdowns on YouTube using the same data the terminal runs on. Not a demo reel: the actual read, on the actual screens, including the weeks it was wrong.

It is the cheapest way to work out whether the way I think about markets is any use to you, and it costs nothing to find out.

Questions

The fair ones to ask.

Who builds WatchTower?

I do. I am James, a trader, and WatchTower is built and operated by me under EliteTraders LLC. There is no team behind the curtain. That is the honest answer and it cuts both ways: you get someone who uses the product daily and answers his own support, and you get one person's capacity rather than a company's.

Why does it exist?

Because the macro read that a bank desk works from is not sold to private traders at any price, and assembling a poor version of it by hand takes a couple of hours every morning. I built it for myself first, and it turned out other people wanted the same thing.

How is it funded?

Subscriptions, and nothing else. No advertising, no paid placement, no broker paying for a mention or a position in a table. Pro is $49 a month or $490 a year.

Do you trade with it yourself?

Yes, every day. That is why the free boards are laid out the way they are: they are how I read the market. Pro exists because your read is not mine and you should be able to build your own.

Is this financial advice?

No. WatchTower describes data and shows the reasoning behind a read. It never tells you what to trade, when, or how much. Those decisions are yours and the risk is yours.

Where can I follow the analysis?

On YouTube at @ForexxJamess, where I publish macro breakdowns using the same data the terminal runs on, and on X at @wtterminal for shorter reads.

In short

WatchTower Terminal is built and operated by James, trading as EliteTraders LLC. It is not a team, a fund or a data reseller: it is one trader who wanted the macro read a bank desk gets and built it, then opened it up. It is funded entirely by subscriptions at $49 a month, with no advertising, no paid placement and no broker taking a cut of what the scores say. 1,000+ traders use it today.
